With the new band House Of Sound – formed in the spring of 2011 – the goal was to create a small, tight unit with a big sound playing new arrangements of Erik´s music. A somewhat unusual combination of “Variax-acoustic” and electric guitar and a wide span of Erik´s music, including No Fool from his debut album as well as songs from his latest album Erik Borelius and House of Sound, helps create a brand new sound.
House Of Sound: Jonas Hedlund – electric guitar, Pär Hedtjärn – drums, Anders Olausson – bass. Three experienced and brilliant Swedish musicians who has played with such diverse artists as Nils Landgren Funk Unit, Monica Zetterlund, Robert Wells, Carola, Janne Schaffer and many, many more…

Concert reviews
  • “… Borelius astonishing compositions… Together they create the beauty and the details… the amazing precision in the solo… a sharp electrifying exclamation in which the tones both rattle and sail.” (Dagens Nyheter)
  • “… ingenious compositions… impossible to listen without being touched… Does it get any better than this? I doubt it.” (Gefle Dagblad)
  • “On “This island” Borelius celebrates the Stockholm archipelago. The drummer Hedtjärn plays this song on the toms and creates a very heavy and heartfelt sound… Jonas Hedlund is often given space to show what he can do on his electric guitar and that’s a sign of respect and responsiveness from Erik Borelius. Anders Olausson, with his Rickenbacker bass, is the cornerstone of the House of Sound.” (Arbetarbladet)
  • “…I got a fantastic musical kick… his concert was a golden moment… Borelius is a real treasure.” (Kvällsposten)
  • “… managed to astonish the audience… He travels in deep waters… but he can swim… his left hand moves like a Tarantula spider… Erik Borelius has the right musical attitude”(Dagens Nyheter)
  • “Roses for Borelius” (Eskilstuna-Kuriren)
  • “… On stage he also is a really great talent… absolute exactness and rytm even when he plays really fast…” (Sydsvenska Dagbladet)
  • “Erik Borelius and Aare Pöder are unbeatable when it comes to controlling their instruments… a thought behind every single note” (Östgötacorrespondenten)
  • “Clever, clever on the guitar… both the musicians and the audience enjoy themselves… Borelius-Steen played a duet and reached what is known as duende…” (Svenska Dagbladet)
